Vasundhara Charitable Trust

Vasundhara Charitable Trust was formed in 2011 by Dr. Sujala Pathare and Dr. Pritam Pathare to honour the legacy of Dr. Sujala's parents, Vasundhara and Ramkrishna Chitale, who held a deep bond with their native village in Tarapur.

Vasundhara's vision is to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the Tarapur community and create lasting change in the region.

Education

In our commitment to strengthening the future generation, we partner with Zilla Parishad schools across the Tarapur area. These schools cater to some of the most economically challenged children in the region.

01

School Health & Nutrition

Conducting medical camps in schools.Providing nutritious food during school events.Teaching children healthy eating habits.Introducing children to organic food through hands-on learning.

02

Kitchen Garden Projects

Students, guided by their teachers, plant and grow vegetables such as methi, palak, mula, math, and others.

In the Abhram School, we transformed a plot filled with debris into a fertile, thriving kitchen garden, demonstrating sustainability, teamwork, and the joy of growing one’s own food.

03

Notebook Distribution

We have distributed notebooks to nearly 5,000 students in primary sections, including square-lined books that are rarely donated but highly valued by teachers.

04

Bicycles for Students

We have provided over 400 cycles to students who walk 4–5 km daily to school, ensuring safer and easier access to education.

05

E-Learning Programme (2017 onwards)

We have equipped 13 schools with a child-centric, interactive e-learning system. Unlike conventional programmes, ours is driven by children themselves through games and interactive modules.

Students learn basic language, math, geometry, art, and logic.

The response has been extremely positive, with teachers noting significant improvement in learning outcomes.
